It is essential to properly separate your waste at home so that all valuable materials can be recycled. The app provides a quick overview of when we collect the waste and where everything belongs. Tailored advice is offered, and reminders are sent at key moments.

When is the waste collected?
If your bin is full or if your neighbors have placed their bins outside, these are often signs that your bin will be emptied that day. However, to be sure about the days when we will empty your bin(s), you can check our app. By entering your postcode and house number, you can see the scheduled collection days for each bin. You can also choose to receive notifications about this. The addresses of the nearest waste disposal station and the locations of containers in the neighborhood can also be found in the HVC Waste app.

What goes where?
It is not always clear which type of waste should be disposed of in which bin/bag. That's why the app includes a handy waste guide. With over 1,000 products, you can easily see where each item belongs. If you are unsure about where to dispose of items like styrofoam, simply check the app!

Reducing residual waste
Residual waste is any waste that cannot be separated anymore and does not fall under bulky waste. The better you separate your waste, the less residual waste you will have. Our app challenges you to minimize residual waste. By doing so, you can influence your recycle rate!

Recycle rate
If your municipality has implemented a recycling rate, you can track how often your bin for residual waste has been emptied or how many times you've used the underground container for residual waste in the app. You can set a goal in the app focused on minimizing the times your residual waste is collected or using the underground container for residual waste. The app assists you in achieving this goal, aligning well with the concept of recycle rates; the better you separate your waste, the less residual waste remains, ensuring that the variable portion of your recycle rate stays low.
